4. Check continuity from end to end for each of the four wires in the cable from the switch assembly to the control
board.
a. Turn OFF the power.
b. See the E5 Motor Controller Connectors illustration on the next page for the correct connector to pull from the
board.
c. Use a multimeter to check for continuity on all 4 wires, end to end.
Note: If the idler cable has a broken wire it may blow the fuse on the motor control board (see E5 Motor Con-
troller Connectors illustration on the next page). The E5 will have no power if this fuse is blown. Replacement
fuse is part number REX2WYC which is a 3.15A, 250V, TIME DELAY, 5.20mm x 20.00mm –(BUSSMANN BK/
S506-3.15-R or equivalent).
d. If the wires all check good, plug them back into the control board and turn on the power. Proceed to step 5.
Note: When replacing the idler link, cable must be routed and cable tied as shown in the illustrations below.The
cable can fail in a short period of time if not installed properly.
