Introduction: Troubleshooting
PROBLEM OBSERVED
No power
No heart rate when using
hand sensors

Loose or damaged cables
Malfunctioning console
Incorrect hand placement /

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Unplug the cross-trainer from the wall outlet
and measure the line voltage with a multi-me-
ter at the outlet. Switch the cross-trainer to an
outlet with suffi cient line voltage if necessary.
Plug transformer into the wall. Check that the
output of the transformer is 9VDC with a multi-
meter.
Disconnect the line cord from the wall outlet
and from the power supply. Reconnect and
verify that the line cord is seated properly at
both locations. Also verify the cord from the
power supply is connected properly into the
product.
Unplug the line cord from wall outlet and from
the unit and inspect for damage. Replace the
line cord if it is damaged.
Replace the DC inlet on the product.
If the Energy Save Green LED is fl ashing, the
product is in Energy Save Mode. Press the
Energy Save button on the console to exit
Energy Save Mode.
Disconnect and reconnect the main I/O cable
at the console.
Disconnect and reconnect main cable at junc-
tion of upright and base frame.
Inspect the cables for damage. Test the cables
for point-to-point-and point-to- ground conti-
nuity. Replace damaged cables.
If it has been confi rmed that power is present
through the cable, replace console.
Refer to the base user manual for the correct
placement of hands on the heart rate sensors.
Inspect the heart rate cables for damage. Test
the cables for point-to-point- and point-to-
ground-continuity. Replace the cables if neces-
sary.
Replace the hand sensors.
Refer to the Go and Track Plus console manuals
for full diagnostic steps of the heart rate board.
There is a mode in Diagnostics in the console
where you can test telemetry and contact heart
rate.
