The switches have normally closed contacts. So the circuit through the switch is completed when the switch is not actu-
ated. When the switch is actuated the circuit will be open and the diagnostic LED for that switch on the control board
will be out. A bad connection or broken wire in the switch circuit will cause the LED to be out. Observe the diagnostic
LED's for the limit switches on the control board.
a. If they are all on, manually actuate each switch and watch for the correct LED on the control board to go out.
The home and max stride switch on the same side could be assembled in the wrong position so check that
the correct LED as shown in the image below goes out. If an actuator is stuck at its limit of travel and a switch is
actuated, remove the screws from the switch mounting plate to pull the assembly aside before performing this
step.
b. Lightly pull and move the wires at the solder joint to the switch and at the connector end of the switch assem-
bly cable. Observe if any of the LED's fl icker or go out indicating an intermittent connection. If needed replace
the switch assembly and repeat Step 1. If everything checked out OK in the switch circuit you can proceed to
Step 6.
c. If any of the LED's are OFF and no switch is actuated, you must determine if the cause is a bad switch assembly
or if the wire from the switch to the control board has a broken wire. Proceed to Step 4.
