PROBLEM OBSERVED
No heart rate when using chest
strap transmitter
No power at Activity Zone
Console goes to sleep during a
workout. (Console is not getting
a signal from the reed switch
indicating machine movement.)
Excessive grinding, rubbing,
knocking noises when pedal
levers rotate under load

receiver
Malfunctioning transmitter

Electrical interference
Wireless HR turned OFF in user
settings in the console.
Loose or damaged cables
Faulty Activity Zone

Gap has changed between
Reed Switch and Magnet in
plastic pulley.
Faulty Reed Switch
Magnet fell out of plastic pulley Replace magnet if missing.
Loose hardware on moving
components (user arms, pedal

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Refer to the Go and Track Plus console manuals
for full diagnostic steps of the heart rate board.
There is a mode in Diagnostics in the console
where you can test telemetry and contact heart
rate. Check cable connection to external heart
rate board.
Test the unit with a known working transmitter.
Replace the transmitter (chest strap) battery
CR2032 (3V) if necessary.
There is electrical interference from electrical
appliances with the telemetry heart rate strap
from fl uorescent lights, kitchen appliances,
etc. Move the product to a different location or
move electrical appliances away from the
product.
Turn wireless HR to 'on' in user settings in the
console.
Disconnect and reconnect main cable at the
console and at the Activity Zone.
Inspect cables for damage. Test cables for
continuity (point to point and point to ground).
If necessary replace cables.
Replace Activity Zone.
Disconnect and reconnect main cable at the
console.
Disconnect and reconnect main cable at junc-
tion of upright and base frame.
Disconnect and reconnect the Reed Switch
Cable.
Inspect cables for damage. Test cables for
continuity (point to point and point to ground).
If necessary replace cables.
Readjust Reed Switch so that it is closer to the
magnet.
Replace Reed Switch.
Check all moving components for loose hard-
ware.
Raise the machine up on its levelers so that
wheels are not making contact with the ground.
Add additional wave washer to assembly to
decrease this movement.
