Recommendations
Recommendations are shown in the secondary top bar. Your
machine automatically gives you recommendations
depending on the selected stitch and current setting.
The following recommendations can be shown:
Presser foot, IDF System and stabilizer. The straight stitch
plate recommendation will be shown when a free-motion
option is selected with a straight stitch. When an optional
presser foot is recommended, the icon for optional presser
foot will be visible on the screen.

Presser Foot Recognition

The presser foot recognition feature can recognize the
majority of HUSQVARNA® VIKING® original presser feet.
The presser foot recognition system will detect which presser
foot is attached to the machine. If the presser foot that is
recommended for the selected stitch (A) differs from the one
predicted to be attached (B), your machine will alert you with
a message in the information area. You are also notified if the
system predicts that your presser foot is attached incorrectly
(C).
Note: The performance of the presser foot recognition feature can be
affected by eventual alterations of a presser foot's appearance; due to
room lighting, fabric reflectivity properties, position fluctuations,
obstructions or physical alterations of the presser foot's surfaces.

Stitch Settings

Your machine will set the recommended settings for each
selected stitch. You can make your own adjustments to the
selected stitch. The changes will only affect the selected stitch
and will be reset to default when selecting another stitch or
turning your machine off. To save your adjusted stitch, touch
save.
The controls available on the screen will change depending
on what stitch or sequence is loaded. Some stitches have
more than one control, and an alternative switch bar will
appear. Touch the alternative switch bar to change to an
alternative control for a different stitch setting. Touch it again
to change back to the previous control. The different stitch
settings are described below.
If you need an explanation of the icons, touch the drop down
arrow to open a panel with description of the icons.
Note: When trying to exceed minimum or maximum settings for width
and length, a warning sound will be heard. The default setting is always
shown in black numbers.
