7. Select the Patient Size.
8. Adjust the technique on the Acquisition screen as appropriate.
NOTE: Settings are applied to all acquired images.
The [RESET TECHNIQUE] button resets to default technique for selected application.
9. Position the tube at the appropriate SID.
10. Stand the patient in front of the patient positioner.
11. Instruct the patient to close his or her eyes.
12. Turn on the collimator light.
WARNING:
Do NOT stare into beam! When you switch on the collimator laser light, make sure no
person looks directly into the laser to avoid eye injuries or impaired vision.
13. Adjust the lateral collimation.
NOTE: Image Pasting registration can cause narrowing of the field. Do not collimate in too tightly.
14. Adjust the arm height so that the FOV light covers the desired anatomy (Figure A-12).

15. Make the exposure using the hand switch.
The Acquisition Workstation screen changes to show the Image Viewer screen.
16. Use the screen switch tab to go back to the Image Acquisition screen.
