Peel-off pre-print operation for B-EX4T3-H
The printer feeds the media forward to the peel-off desk after printing is completed. Then after the media
is removed, the printer feeds the media backward to the start position of the next printing.
When the amount of the backward feeding becomes smaller due to loading of the backing-paper, the start
position may be misaligned. Due to this, the operation to align the position is prepared by detecting the
gap again before printing.
After the issued label is peeled off, the printer feeds the media backward by the 1.5 times of the pitch to
detect the gap/mark. After it is detected, by using the label pitch retained to feed the gap/mark to the
home position and the distance between the head and the sensor, the start position of the next printing
close to the head is calculated. Then the printer feeds the media by that distance to start printing.
a) Waiting for the peeling off after one label is issued
b) After peeling off the label, detecting the gap by feeding the media backward by 1.5 times of the pitch
and feeding to the home position
c) Feeding ends
Note: There are following restrictions for MODE2.
1. The pitch should be shorter than 75.5 mm (distance between the head and the sensor).
2. This cannot be used for an RFID issue.
3. This will also be applied to the peel-off operation for test printing, but the behavior is not guaranteed.
4. Do not make an error, such as a head-open one during the peel-off pre-print operation (backward
2. Feeds the media to the home position by this gap.
1. Starts printing.
