* The number of EM banks depends upon the PC being used. The PT will display
only those EM banks available in the connected PC.
Select clear for the data area to clear all of the cells in the row.
3. Specify the address by pressing the Increment and Decrement Keys (+ and
–) on the word address's thumbwheel switch. (This step isn't necessary if
you are clearing the row.)
The digit will be incremented or decremented by 1 each time that you press
the Increment or Decrement Key.
4. Press the Write touch switch. The PT will begin monitoring the specified
word in the row and the popup input window will be closed. (The row will be
cleared if clear was selected for the data area.)
If the specified word address is not valid, an error message will be displayed
in the lower-left corner of the screen and the buzzer will sound. (This buzzer
sound can be disabled with the PT's touch switch sound setting.) In this
case, check the valid range of the data area in the connected PC and enter
the word address again. The error message will be cleared when a valid
word address is entered.
If the Back touch switch is pressed before the Write touch switch, the input
will be cancelled and the PT will return to monitoring the original word ad-
dress in that row.
Use the following procedure to change a monitored word's PV in hexadecimal.
This procedure can also be used to force-set, force-reset, or clear the forced sta-
tus of timer/counter Completion Flags.

1. Press the hexadecimal PV table cell in the desired row. (Pressing the cell
won't have any effect if a word isn't being displayed in the row.)
