Possible causes/consequences and
& WARNING Risk of an accident due to insufficient tyre pres‐
sure
The tyres can burst.

The tyres can wear excessively and/or unevenly.

The driving characteristics as well as the steering and braking

may be greatly impaired.
You could then lose control of the vehicle.
Observe the recommended tyre pressures.

Adjust the tyre pressure if necessary.

Stop the vehicle without steering or braking suddenly. Pay atten‐

tion to the traffic conditions.
Secure the vehicle against rolling away.

Pay attention to the display messages.

Check the tyres and, if necessary, replace the wheel

In vehicles with steering-wheel buttons, you can check the tyre pres‐
sure electronically (

Correct the tyre pressure as necessary.

*The yellow tyre pressure monitoring system warning lamp (pressure
loss/malfunction) flashes for approximately one minute and then
remains lit.
The tyre pressure monitoring system is malfunctioning.
& WARNING There is a risk of an accident if the tyre pressure
monitoring system is malfunctioning
The tyre pressure monitoring system cannot issue a warning if
there is pressure loss in one or more of the tyres.
