Possible causes/consequences and
* You have the accelerator pedal depressed beyond the point of
resistance. Whilst you are accelerating, the limiter does not control
your speed.
Remove your foot from the accelerator pedal. The limiter will be
#
reactivated and will limit your speed.
* An activation condition for cruise control has not been met.
For example, you are aiming to store a speed below 30 km/h.
If conditions permit, drive at a speed greater than 30 km/h and
#
store the speed.
Observe the activation conditions for cruise control
#
(
page 161).

* A warning tone also sounds. Cruise control and the limiter are mal‐
functioning.
Consult a qualified specialist workshop.
#
* Blind Spot Assist is switched off during trailer operation.
Acknowledge the display message with the a steering wheel
#
button.
* Blind Spot Assist is malfunctioning.
Consult a qualified specialist workshop.
#
* Blind Spot Assist is temporarily non-operational.
The following causes are possible:
The function is impaired due to heavy rain or snow.
R
The radar sensor system is temporarily non-operational, e.g. due
R
to electromagnetic radiation close to TV or radio transmitting
stations or other sources of radiation.
The system is outside the operating temperature range.
R
If the causes mentioned above no longer apply, the display message
will disappear and Lane Keeping Assist will be operational again.
If the display message does not disappear:
Stop in accordance with the traffic conditions.

Secure the vehicle against rolling away.
#
Switch off the engine.
#
Restart the engine.
#
* DSR has been switched on but is not active as you are driving at a
speed greater than 18 km/h. If you drive at a speed below 18 km/h,
DSR will automatically brake again to the set speed.
* DSR was deactivated.
If it was not deactivated by the driver, e.g. due to a malfunction of
®
the ESP
, a warning tone also sounds.
