Install the cover caps of the securing thread after
removing the roof luggage rack.
If you have installed a rear luggage rack on the
tailgate, the additional weight restricts the assis‐
tance offered by the pneumatic springs when you
open the tailgate. You will then need more force
to open the tailgate. At low outside temperatures
below freezing point, you should provide addi‐
tional support for the tailgate after opening it in
order to prevent it from lowering unintentionally.
