Sensors
Clean the sensors in the front and rear bump‐

ers with a soft cloth and car shampoo

Reversing camera and 360° Camera
Open the camera cover with the multimedia

system ( page 171).

Use clean water and a soft cloth to clean the

camera lens.
Do not use a high-pressure cleaner.

Sliding door
Remove foreign objects from the vicinity of

the contact plates and contact pins of the
sliding door.
Clean the contact plates and contact pins

with a mild cleaning agent and a soft cloth.
Do not oil or grease the contact plates and

the contact pins.
Tailpipes
Clean with a cleaning agent recommended for
R
Mercedes-Benz, especially in the winter and
after washing the vehicle.
Do not use acidic cleaning agents.

Trailer hitch
Observe the notes on care in the trailer hitch
R
manufacturer's operating instructions.
Do not clean the ball neck with a high-pres‐
R
sure cleaner or solvent.
Remove traces of rust on the ball, for exam‐
R
ple, with a wire brush.
Remove dirt with a lint-free cloth.
R
After cleaning, lightly oil or grease the ball
R
head.

Before using trailers with anti-swerve cou‐

Notes on interior care
& WARNING Risk of injury from plastic
parts breaking off after the use of sol‐
vent-based care products
Care and cleaning products containing sol‐
vents can cause surfaces in the cockpit to
become porous. When the airbags are
deployed, plastic parts may break away.

Do not use any care or cleaning prod‐

ucts containing solvents to clean the
cockpit.
& WARNING Risk of injury or death from
bleached seat belts
Bleaching or dyeing seat belts can severely
weaken them.
This can, for example, cause seat belts to tear
or fail in an accident.
Never bleach or dye seat belts.

To prevent damage to the vehicle, observe the
following notes for cleaning and care:
Seat belts
Clean with lukewarm soapy water.

Do not use chemical cleaning agents.
R
No heating over 80°C or drying in direct sun‐
R
light.
Instrument cluster lenses
Clean the surfaces carefully with a microfibre
R
cloth and acrylic glass care product.
Do not use any other agents.

Display
Switch off the display and let it cool down.
R
Clean the surface carefully with a microfibre
R
cloth and a suitable display cleaning product
(TFT-LCD).
Do not use any other agents.

Digital inside rearview mirror
Clean the mirror glass with a cloth moistened
R
with glass cleaner.
Clean the light sensors of the inside rearview
R
mirror with a dry cotton cloth.
Do not spray the glass cleaner on the mirror
R
glass.
Do not use any other agents.
R
Plastic trim
Clean with a damp microfibre cloth.
R
For heavy soiling: Use a cleaning product rec‐
R
ommended for Mercedes-Benz.
Do not affix stickers, films or similar.
R
Do not allow to come into contact with cos‐
R
metics, insect repellent and sun creams.
