Front Panel Measurement, External Trigger
In this scenario, it is desired to measure the resistance and/or voltage from the front panel input post
under external triggering, without using any internal/external module. Below are three methods that
can be used.
1. Disable continuous initiation, READ one measurement

2. Disable continuous initiation, FETCh one measurement

Query the Operation Status register until the Bit 11 (Measure
Done) is set.
Return the latest reading (voltage and/or resistance).
Configure the instrument to measure the signal from the front
panel input post without using internal/external switch channels.
Configure the trigger source to be internal.
Enable continuous measurement.
Return the latest reading (voltage and/or resistance).
Return the latest reading (voltage and/or resistance).
Configure the instrument to measure the signal from the front
panel input post without using internal/external switch channels.
Configure the trigger source to be external.
Disable continuous measurement.
Acquire one measurement when a triggering event occurs, then
return the reading (voltage and/or resistance).
Acquire one measurement when another triggering event
occurs, then return the reading (voltage and/or resistance).
Configure the instrument to measure the signal from the front
panel input post without using internal/external switch channels.
Configure the trigger source to be external.
Disable continuous measurement.
Initiate the instrument to Trigger Wait State.
Trigger one measurement (Trigger Key signal can achieve the
same result).
