Software Version 1.00

When the EtherCAT master device requests a transition to the next communications status or when a transition to the
next communications status results from a cable disconnection, the 264IF-01 Module will reset the communications IC.
The communications status will return to INIT and a transition is made to the specified communications status as fol-
lows:
Transitions in the communications status depend on the master device settings.
• Transition from OPERATIONAL to PRE-OPERATIONAL
• Transition from OPERATIONAL to Safe-OPERATIONAL
• Transition from OPERATIONAL to INIT
Depending on the timing, however, if the transition request from the master device is received while the communica-
tions IC in the 264IF-01 Module is being reset, the specified transition may not be made, an error may occur, and the
state transitions may stop. If that occurs, send another state transition request from the master device.

Software Version 1.01 and Later

When the EtherCAT master device requests a transition to the next communications status or when a transition to the
next communications status results from a cable disconnection, the 264IF-01 Module will not reset the communica-
tions IC. Therefore, communications will not be disconnected and a transition will occur to the specified communica-
tions status.
