This adjustment is necessary for both WCS-SO and WCS-SCO
a built-in occupancy sensor. It is used to reduce the number of CO
unoccupied to conserve battery life.
It is assumed the sensor has been mounted in a position where occupancy or CO
The maximum range for the occupancy sensor is 32 feet (10 meters). Set the sensor in Motion Test
mode and wait for the red light to go off. Walk through the area and watch the sensor eye illuminate red
indicating your presence is sensed. Make any mounting adjustments to achieve the best overall position
of the sensor where it will detect human traffic.
Reference the occupancy sensor coverage pattern below to help determine the best mounting position.

RH Sensor Module Installation

A 2% relative humidity (RH) sensor module, available as a separate part (X13790973030; model WCS-
SH), can be installed on a WCS either before or after the WCS is powered up as shown in the following
figure. If the RH sensor module is installed on the WCS after power-up, the WCS will detect it when you
pull out the battery to shut off the sensor, then put the battery back in to turn the sensor on.
