To quickly find dates that have communication issues you can open the calendar and it will show
you the dates in red that have either BACnet retries or communication loss. In this case, many days
in January have communication loss logged. Clicking on the date will bring up the Communication
History log for that day showing any controllers that lost communication.

Save Log allows the technician to save the current view to a file on the PC. The tool stores many
weeks' worth of data, but eventually the older logs will be overwritten. So if it is desired to have a log
saved for future viewing, the technician should save it manually using Save Log.
Load Offline Log will allow the technician to view a previously saved log. This can be used while
connected to a network or when working offline.
Means controller has had more than 10 BACnet retries. More than 10 retries indicates severe
communication trouble.
Means 10 or less BACnet retries have taken place. Retries are where a Zigbee packet is
attempted to be sent but is not successful. The WCI will attempt to send it a short while later. Each
attempt to send is a retry. Communication is likely continuing but performance will suffer.
Means there is no reported communication loss. It does not necessarily mean we have good
communication. This tool is logging changes in BACnet retries and communication loss from the
previous hour, not good communication. So if there is a gray check mark we only know there is no
change in BACnet retries or communication loss from the previous hour.
The red X in Figure 4 shows a possible communication loss between 8am and 9am for six unit
controllers. At 9am it appears communication was back to normal, but we do not actually know this
for sure. This tool logs changes in communication. It is possible that at 9am, all the controllers
shown are still having the exact same trouble as they did at 8am, but since there is no change, the
tool shows a gray check mark "No reported communication loss.".
