chain connection method. The maximum number of inputs, however, is limited to just 100 inputs---
when all switchers are System 10 (1 primary unit plus 10 Peripheral units).

Turn off all switchers and decide which of the switchers will become the Primary
Unit and which the Peripheral Units.
Disconnect all communications devices from the Primary Unit.
Primary Unit ... See figure on next page. Locate the 5-section DIP switch labeled AD­
DRESS at the lower right hand side of the rear panel. Set switches as indicated in the
PRIMARY MODE table. Be sure to set switch #4 on the Primary Switcher to Open.
Use the chart below to set the addresses for all Peripheral units. When addressing
switchers in the star configuration, address must increase sequentially---that is, do not
skip any addresses.
The Perip heral Unit should never have any communications devices connected,
except a contact closure remote control (if required)-
