Turn off input power to the System 8/10 and disconnect power cord.
Place System 8/ 10 on a clean work area.
Remove the four No.IO attaching screws (item 1) and washers (item 2) from the front panel.
Position the rack panel in front of the System 8/10 (note: rack panel is slightly taller than the
System 8/10). Make sure the nylon shoulder spacers are in place on the back side of the rack
panel assembly. These spacers are in· the recessed area between the System 8/10 front panel and
the back side of the rack panel assembly.
Reinstall the four No.10 corner screws and dress washers in the matching holes of the rack panel
assembly. Align the rack panel on the unit, making sure the top and bottom edges are evenly
distributed, allowing for the difference in size. Tighten screws until the rack panel is butted
firmly against the front of the System 8/10.

Once the rack panel has been installed, the rubber feet can be removed from the bottom of the
,,. '\ .. ,:·.,/ System 8/10. To do so, loosen the screw within each rubber foot until it is nearly free and then
' pull the rubber foot from the unit.

Mount the System 8/10 in the rack.
The ambient temperature of the rack should not exceed 50° C. If forced air
cooHng is used, one rack space above and one below the switcher should
be empty.
Return the System 8/ l 0 to normal operation.
