MITSUBISHIXC MONITORS

Connection
To configure Mitsubishi XC Monitors, do this:
S tep 1:
Remove System 8/10 top cover (pg. 6-14). See Fig 6-11; locate the projector RS-232
communications board; set switches and jumpers as listed in table below.

Reinstall System 8/10 top cover.

Confi
re the System 8/10 switcher as a Primary switcher by setting the address switch
as shown in Fig 6-4, pa g e 6-3.
Turn System 8/10 and projector power OFF.
Step 1:
Connect the MIXC Comm Adapter 9-pin male connector to the 9-pin female "SOURCE
Step 2:
SELECT" connector on the rear panel of the monitor.
Connect the CC-50' (or CC-100') cable from the 9-pin female connector of the MIXC
Step 3:
Comm Adapter to the 15-pin HD "PROJECTOR CONTROL" port located on the rear
panel of the S
(up to 200 feet in length) , follow the pin-to-pin wiring shown in Fig 6-3.]
Return System 8/10 and projector to normal operation.

The communications between the System 8/10 and the
Mitsubishi monitor is "talk only." The switcher "talks" to
the monitor, informing it of the incoming signal type
(RGB, Comp. or S-Video). The switcher will not command
the monitor to pull up memory presets or "listen" to any
· c�mmunications from the monitor, since the monitor does
not offer any. Hence, the switcher inputs cannot be
selected by the Mitsubishi provided IR remote control.
The part number for the MIXC Comm Adapter is 503-186.
