PUSHBUTTON CONTROLS
FRONT PANEL BUTTONS
'fl}.e front panel buttons are used to select l-of-8 (or l-of-10) inputs to be displayed by the monitor or
video''p,:rojector. Buttons are also provided to control power (on/off) to the projector, and to mute (blank)

buttort corresponding to the input or function selected. The input buttons are numbered 1-8 ( or 1-
10), each corresponding to one of the BNC input connector sets at the rear of the switcher.
Display Power Button. This button is used to turn the projector ON and OFF. To turn the projector
0N, press this button hold until it lights (approximately two seconds). Some projectors take a few
seconds to initialize. For those projectors, the Display Power button will flash to prevent any communica-
tions during the initialization period. This flashing can last from 8 to 35 seconds. To turn OFF the
projector, press the button and hold until it goes out (approximately two seconds). This two second delay
provides a safety factor so the projector is not turned off by accidentally touching this button.
Video Mut~ Button. The Video Mute button 'is similar to a "Projector Mute" or "Pause" button typically
found q.n.'.t~e:,Projector remote control. This button mutes (blanks) the projector display, but does not
actually tJrn·, tht projector off. To use the Video Mute, simply press the button then release it. The

button ligh~s'and the projector display is blanked. To restore the image, simply press the button again.
The projector's video image is instantly restored.
Input Selection Buttons. These buttons are used to select the desired input (1-8 or 1-10) for display by
,t~e projector. To select an input, simply press and release the button corresponding to the desired input.
· Tlie button will light, ia.dicating that the input selection has been made. To make another selection, press
and release the corresponding button. The selected button will light and all other buttons will go out.

Remove the desired key cap from the
switcher by grasping the top and bottom
of the key cap and pulling it away from
the switcher.
Dismantle the button by prying the clear
legend cover from the key cap base.
Label the button by using rub-on letters
on the white legend plate or placing a
small clear or white label between the
white legend plate and the clear legend
cover.
Reinsert the key cap back into place on
the switcher.
