STACKING TWO SONY PR0JECTORS
Sony p~ojectors are sometimes "stacked" to provide increased image brightness. Such stacking, however,
requires that RGBS type video input signals be supplied to the projector. To parallel connect (stack) two

Turn System 8/10 and projector power OFF.
Connect the SY Comm Adapter I4-pin female DIN connector to the I4-pin male DIN
"REMOTE I" connector on the rear panel of projector No. I
Connect the CC-50' (or CC-100') cable from the 9-pin female connector of the SY Comm
Adapter to the IS-pin HD "PROJECTOR CONTROL" port located on the rear panel of
the System 8/10. [Note: If you wish to make your own communications cable (up to 200
feet in length) , follow the pin-to-pin wiring shown in Fig 6-3.]

. Connect a mini phono-to-mini phono jumper cable between the "CONTROLS OUT"

Configure both pi:ojectors to accept RGB signals on the RGB module. This can be done
by following the instructions in the Sony VP A instruction manual.
Connect a five BNC-to-BNC cable between the RGBH/V outputs of the System 8/10 and
the inRut of, the ADA-2 Analog Distribution Amplifier.
Connect a five BNC-to-BNC cable between one output of the ADA-2 and the RGBH/V
inputs of Sony projector NeA-;-eonneet a scc<md five BNC-to-BNC cable between the
remaining output of the ADA-2 and the RGBHN inputs of Sony projector No.2.
Return System 8/10 and projector to normal operation.
