. All video input connections to the System 8/10 are made with BNC connectors. Many types of video

devices (VCR, laserdisc players, etc.), including most computers, do not have BNC video output connec-
. tors. If not, a suit~bl:e adapter such as an Extron RGB 300 interface should be used to adapt the device
output to the BNC input of the System 8/10. With the proper adapter, the RGB/S signal can be connected
· directly to the R, G, B, H, V inputs of the switcher. If the RGB signal is carrying the composite sync on
the green channel, simply connect the RGB cables
to
the switcher without using the sync channels.
INPUT SELECTION SWITCHES
Each input must have a corresponding video mode. This is done by setting the DIP switches located above
the output connectors. There are two banks of DIP switches, each having 8 (or 10) switches. Each input
has two switches, one in each bank. For example, input #1 uses the left most switch at each bank. For the
video mode shown on this page (RGBS/HV Analog), the No. I DIP switch of each switch bank should be
DOWN in the RGBS position.
