To coi{figure Barco projectors, do this:
Remove System 8/10 top cover (pg. 6-14). See Fig 6-11; locate the projector RS-232
communications board; set switches and jumpers as listed in table below.

Step 2:
Reinstall System 8/10 top cover.
Step 3:
Configure the System 8/10 switcher as a Primary switcher by setting the address switch as
indicated in Fig 6-4, page 6� 3.
Turn System 8/10 power OFF.
Step 1:
Connect the BR Comm Adapter 9-pin male connector to the 9-pin female "COMM
Step 2:
PORT" or "RCVDS Communications" connector on the rear panel of the Barco projector.
If an automatic convergence (IRIS) unit is being used, the BR Comm Adapter then con­
nects to the 9-pin female connector on the IRIS unit.
Connect the CC-50' (or CC-100') cable from the 9-pin female connector of the BR Comm
Step 3:
Adapter to the 15-pin "PROJECTOR CONTROL" port located on the rear panel of the
System 8/10. If you wish, you can fabricate your own communications cables (up to 200
feet in length) using twisted pair cabling. Follow the pin-to-pin wiring illustrated in Fig 6-
3.
Step 4:
Return System 8/ 10 and projector to normal operation.
