To coli.figure Sony projectors, do this:

Remove System 8/10 top cover (pg. 6-14). See Fig 6-11; locate the projector RS-232
communications board; set switches and jumpers as listed in table below.

Reinstall System 8/ 10 top cover.
Step 3:
Configure the System 8/ 10 switcher as a Primary switcher by setting the address switch
as shown in Fig 6-4, page 6-3.
Step 1:
Turn System 8/.10 and projector power OFF.
Step 2:
Connect the SY Comm Adapter 14-pin female DIN connector to the 14-pin male DIN
"REMOTE 1" connector on the rear panel of the projector.
Step 3:
Connect the CC-50' (or CC-100') cable from the 9-pin female connector of the SY Comm
Adapter to the 15-pin HD "PROJECTOR CONTROL" port located on the rear panel of
the S
stem 8/10. [Note: If you wish to make your own communications cable (up to 200
feet in length) , follow the pin-to-pin wiring shown in Fig 6-3.)
Step 4:
For RGB video signals below 48 kHz, connect all video outputs from the switcher to the
SY Comm Adapter. For RGB video signals above 48 kHz, connect the RGB video signals
directly to the RGB input card at the rear of the Sony projector. When using this RGB
input in conjunction with a switcher, the projector MUST be confi
RGB input as it's input for RGB signals. This can be done by following the instructions
found in the Sony installation manual.
Step 5:
Return System 8/ 10 and projector to normal operation.
