Notes:
♦ Procedure for removing and installing door
lock with and without power operation is
identical.
♦ On models MY 99 ä with remote control of
central locking, no lock cylinder is fitted to
passenger-side door.

Removing and installing door lock

Removing
- Remove door handle ⇒ page 57-6.
- Remove door trim panel ⇒ page 70-4.
- Detach sound insulation sheet
⇒ page 70-6.
- Remove window lifter ⇒ page 57-4.
K - Take out screws -1-
Tightening torque = 8 Nm.
- Slacken screw -2- attaching impact bar. (The
front screw for attaching the bar is not shown
in the illustration).
