locking

Description of system

Components fitted in the doors:
♦ Electric central locking with SAFE function
Components in remainder of car
♦ Switch-off time delay for interior light.
♦ Monitoring and switch-off of interior lights and
luggage compartment lights.
♦ Sliding roof closing function with closing
command from exterior.
♦ Radio remote control for anti-theft alarm sys-
tem.
The cars may be equipped with different types
of central locking system. Individual types differ
in respect of:
♦ Operation
♦ Components (control units, key pads, electri-
cal installation etc.)
♦ Software of control units
♦ Diagnostics
Important!
When replacing parts, it is important to ensure that
the parts are not mixed up ⇒ Parts List!
Important!
It goes without saying that only parts approved by
Škoda may be fitted!
Operation
The central control unit for the central locking
system (J110) is located in the dash panel area.
It features a fault memory. The connection for
self-diagnosis is located in the stowage com-
partment below the steering column.
The control unit detects faults and interference
and stores them in a permanent memory.
