CAUTION
EMC
• Do not use this system in locations subject to in-
tense electric or magnetic fields (such as MRI or CT
scan equipment) to prevent the risk of interference
and malfunction of this system .
• Do not use this system near equipment emitting
high frequency electromagnetic waves (such as
medical wireless telemeters or cordless phones)
as the system may malfunction or may cause prob-
lems to the equipment .
• Do not move the system closer to or place it on
other equipment. If it is necessary to do so, confirm
that the system can operate properly .
• Note the following in regard to influence of the radio
wave .
– Do not use strong radio wave emitting de-
vices close to this system to prevent the risk
of interference and malfunction of this system .
For example, it may cause the mini console to
stop its operation . In this case, the operation
means such as the touch panel and the foot
switch can be used instead of the mini console .
Also, it functions normally by resetting the sys-
tem .
– Portable RF communications equipment (includ-
ing peripheral devices such as antenna cable and
external antenna) should be used keeping 30 cm
(12 inch) or more away from any part of the sys-
tem, including cables specified by manufacturers.
Otherwise, it will reduce the system performance
and may cause system malfunction .
• Only use transducers and cables specified by Kon-
ica Minolta as spare parts . Use of other parts may
result in increased emissions or reduced system
performance and may cause system malfunction .
• Do not use the system in the environment occurring
of electrostatics, etc . When using the Reference
Signal Unit, the system may be into a frozen state
for protection against the interference of electrostat-
ics, etc . In this case, it functions normally by can-
celing FREEZE .
• Pay attention to the following in regard to power
quality .
Power quality should be that of a typical commer-
cial or hospital environment . If the power quality
is deteriorated, there is a risk of interference and
malfunction of the system .
Battery
• Do not throw the battery or subject it to strong im-
pact .
• The battery must be kept out of the hands of chil-
dren . Pay attention not to allow children to remove
the battery from the system while the battery is be-
ing charged or used .
• The battery should be charged in a place which
conforms to the recommended temperature condi-
tions .
• For the battery charging method, refer to "2 .2 Pow-
er Supply Cord Connection and Battery Capacity"
in this operation manual .
• Do not use or leave the battery in a hot place; for
example, exposed to direct sunlight, in a hot car, or
in front of a heater . This may cause leakage from
the battery or reduced performance and battery life .
• Be sure to charge the battery before it is used for
the first time after purchase or if the battery has not
been used for a long time .
• If the battery has not been used for a long time,
charging may finish even if the battery is not fully
charged . In this case, repeat the charge and dis-
charge cycle before using the battery .
• Whenever the system is used, the battery should
be connected to the system . If the system is not
used for a long time without connecting the AC
adapter in the state of power OFF, remove the
battery from the system and store the system in a
place with low humidity and in which temperatures
are approximately 20 °C .
• Wipe off any dirt on the terminals with a dry cloth.
If the battery terminals are dirty, poor electrical
connections to the system may occur, causing the
system to be turned OFF or making it impossible to
charge the battery .
• Entrust disposal of the battery to a specialized dis-
posal/recycling company . Do not dispose of the bat-
tery in general waste .
