Connecting to an External Device

This instrument includes a USB connection terminal and a Bluetooth function (when the optional Bluetooth
module is attached). The supplied USB cable (IF-A26) can be used to connect the instrument to a computer, or the
Bluetooth communication function can be used to connect the instrument to a computer or a printer, allowing for
data communication and printing.
Notes
When the instrument is exposed to strong external static electricity or is affected by ambient interference
during communication with an external device, the communication may be interrupted. In this case, turn the
power OFF and then turn it ON again.

◎ Connecting to a Computer

There are two methods for connecting the instrument to a computer: connecting using the USB cable or via the
Instrument's Bluetooth function.
Notes
• To use the instrument's Bluetooth function to connect to a computer with Bluetooth communication
capabilities, the optional CM-A219 Bluetooth module must be correctly connected to the instrument and a
Bluetooth communication channel must be opened through the computer's utilities function.
• When connections using the USB cable and using Bluetooth communication are established, priority will be
given to the connection using the USB cable.
Memo • When connected to a computer, the wireless communication or the wired communication mark is displayed on the
LCD screen (refer to P.23 "Status bar"), and the measurement button and operation keys on the instrument are
disabled.
• If a command to enable the measuring button is sent from the computer, measurement will be possible by pressing
the measurement button on the instrument. Note that, at this time, sample is transferred to the computer without
being stored in the instrument memory.
• To connect the instrument to a computer, use of software that enables connection and operation of the instrument is
recommended.
