Connecting the Serial Cable
Follow these steps to connect the machine to your host computer using a
serial interface:

Make sure you have the cables necessary for the connection.

Make sure that both the machine and the
host computer are turned off.

Plug the male end of the 25-pin serial ca-
ble into the serial port on the side of the
machine.

Tighten the screws on each side of the
connector to make sure the cable remains
in position.
