TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Faded Area A block of faded vertical white lines
prints or an area of the printed
matter is faded.
Fragments or Fragments or data, or data unrelated
confusing data to your print job is printing.
Horizontal Horizontal black streaks or smears
Lines print on the page.
Multiple Blank All pages are entirely white.

No printing oc- You sent a print job, but the printer

Description Action:
Check for low toner.
Check that the paper surface is suitable
for the printer. Avoid using shiny, highly
textured, coated, or erasable typewriter
paper.
Check that you are using the correct
printer driver.
Check that you have the correct
interface cable.
Check for damage to the toner cartridge.
Check that the toner cartridge is
installed correctly.
Check whether you have completely
removed the sealing tape from the toner
cartridge.
Check for an empty toner cartridge.
If none of the above are the cause of
the problem you may be experiencing
data loss. If this is the case, your
printer may need to be serviced.
If this is the first time you have used the
printer, make sure that you have
correctly removed all of the packaging
materials from the printer.
If the printer has worked previously,
check that the interface cables are
secure.
Check that the toner cartridge is
positioned correctly. Verify whether the
toner is low.
Check that the printing drum is
positioned correctly.
