8 Remove the cork seal (B1) from the bridge piece (B2) of the timing case. Remove the cork seal (C2) from
the cap of the rear main bearing (C1).
9 Thoroughly clean the flange faces of the cylinder block. Thoroughly clean the groove for the cork seal in the
cap of the rear main bearing. Thoroughly clean the groove for the cork seal in the bridge piece of the timing
case.
