• Check how paper is loaded in the tray.
• Remove paper, fan paper to remove static cling, and re-load.
• Reduce or increase the amount of paper loaded.
• Check and reset the position of the end fence.
Action 1
• Confirm that the paper is not curled.
• Confirm that the type of paper can be used with the printer.
• Confirm that the paper cassette is installed correctly. (Remove the cassette and
set it again).
• If another paper cassette is available, use the extra cassette.
• Replace friction pad.
Action 2 • Replace paper feed clutch.
• Replace paper cassette unit.

Remove Tray 2 and reset the paper. If there is any paper that is jammed remove it.
• Paper slick (non-feed)
Cause
• Paper tray was not set properly.
The registration sensor detected the leading edge of the paper from the paper
Details cassette, but the trailing edge sensor failed to detect the trailing edge of the paper
within the prescribed time.
• Remove the cassette
Action 1 • Remove remaining paper.
• Re-set the cassette correctly.
• Replace paper feed clutch in Tray 2.
Action 2 • Replace paper cassette.
• Replace Tray 2.

Open Duplex Unit Cover or pull out Duplex Unit, then remove the jammed paper.
