Common Part Card CF Download

Follow this section to update the Common Part card with the appropriate software
build for CWA. The following functions are performed on the CP card:-

Take antistatic precautions when handling the units, fit an ESP wristband.

Reformat the Compact Flash device.
Download CP software R4.21 to the CF card.
PC to be installed with a terminal emulation application, examples are
Hyperterminal and Teraterm, with the following settings:-
Port:
COM 1
Data speed: 38400 bits/s
Data Bits:
8
Stop Bit:
1
Parity:
None
Flow control: XON/XOFF
PC to be installed with EDA2530 LCT application version 07-02-04.
RS232 serial lead type 151-2502/01, to connect between the PC serial port (or
USB) and the CP card's serial port.
CAT5 cross-over Ethernet cable, to connect between the PC LAN port and the
CP card's ETH port.
Remove the CP card from slot 1.
Remove the Compact Fash card.
Reinsert the CP card into slot 1, without the CF card fitted.
Connect the Ethernet cable & serial cable to the CP card.
For Ericsson staff only, on the PC turn off "Symantec Endpoint Client" and
"Symantec Management Client".
Copy the "LoadCF 4.21GA" files onto the LCT PC hard drive, at location
C:\Mv36bLT\tftp. These are:-
"Delivery" folder
"CPIP-LLB.bin"
"uImage"
"uRDimage"
