6.2 Drive functions
Learning new motors
The learned motor type is stored in the controller and compared with the connected motor
when the controller is switched on. The 7-segment display (H401) displays the status code
"5" if the learned motor type differs from the connected one. A new learn run has to be
performed (after the line voltage is applied) for the new motor type.
Cancelation of a learn run
The learn run is canceled in the following cases:
● The learn run button (S401) or the OPEN (S402) or CLOSE (S403) service button is
pressed during an active learn run.
The 7-segment display (H401) displays the status code "_".
● The controller detects an error during the learn run.
The 7-segment display (H401) displays the status code "P_".
A canceled learn run can be restarted by pressing the learn run button (S401) again. After a
learn run has been canceled, switching to normal operation can only be performed by
restarting the controller (disconnecting the power supply from the network).
Learnt door parameters
The learn run determines the following values:
● Motor type
● The "Closed" and "Open" door positions
● Door width
● Door weight
● The maximum closing and opening speeds are limited as a function of the determined
door weight and energy limitation requirements.
Querying determined values
The following values determined during the learn run can be queried by the SIDOOR
SERVICE TOOL, and are used to assist the commissioning process:
● Door width
● Dynamic door weight
● Inhibiting force in the opening direction
● Inhibiting force in the closing direction
● Counterweight
