Step 13. If you are adding a power supply to the server, attach the redundant power information label that
comes with this option on the server cover near the power supplies.
Step 14. If you are instructed to return the drive backplane, follow all packaging instructions, and use any
packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
If you have other devices to install or remove, do so now. Otherwise, go to "Completing the installation" on
page 85.

Removing a memory module

Use this information to remove a memory module.
To remove a dual inline memory module (DIMM), complete the following steps:
1. Read the safety information that begins in "Safety" on page v and "Installation guidelines" on page 169.
2. Turn off the server (see "Turning off the server" on page 24) and all attached peripheral devices.
3. Disconnect all power cords; then, disconnect all external cables from the server.
4. Carefully turn the server on its side so that it is lying flat, with the cover facing up.
