TROUBLESHOOTING
When the main switch is turned to "ON", the immobilizer system indicator light does not come on nor
flashes.
NOTE:
• Before troubleshooting, remove the following part(s):
1. Seats
2. Side panels (left and right)
3. Fuel tank
4. Battery cover
1. Check the fuses. (Main, ignition
and backup).
Refer to "CHECKING THE
FUSES" on page 8-48.
OK
2. Check the battery.
Refer to "CHECKING AND
CHARGING THE BATTERY"
on page 8-49.
OK
3. Check the main switch.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
SWITCHES" on page 8-43.
OK
4. Check the immobilizer system
indicator light LED.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
LEDS" on page 8-47.
OK
5. Check the entire immobilizer
system wiring.
Refer to "CIRCUIT DIAGRAM"
on page 8-29.
OK
• Check the condition of the each
immobilizer system circuits.
• Refer to "SELF-DIAGNOSIS
FAULT CODE INDICATION"
on page 8-36.
IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM
Replace the fuse(s).
NG
• Clean the battery terminals.
NG
• Recharge or replace the battery.
Replace the main switch/immobilizer unit.
NG
NG Replace the meter assembly.
Properly connect or repair the immobilizer
NG
system wiring.
