INSPECTION
Inspect and check the removed parts for the following
abnormalities.
Handlebar distortion.
Handlebar holder wear.
Abnormality operation of bearing.
Distortion of steering stem.
Bearing wear or damage.
Race wear or damage.
⊙ ⊙ REASSEMBLY AND REMOU-
NTING
Reassemble and remount the steering stem in the
reverse order of removal and disassembly.
However, operate the work taking care for the following
points.
● Press in the steering stem upper and lower bearing
outer races using the special tool.
Steering race installer : 09941-34513
● Apply SUPER GREASE "A" to the steering stem
lower bearing prior to installing the steering stem.
SUPER GREASE " " A" "
● Press in the steering stem lower bearing ①.
● Apply SUPER GREASE A to the steering stem
upper bearing prior to installing the steering stem.
SUPER GREASE " " A" "
● Install the steering stem upper bearing ②.
● Install the dust cover ③.
