CONTROL SYSTEM

ADJUSTING THE THROTTLE LINK

CAUTION
Do not adjust the throttle link when it is
operating properly. Excessive adjustment
may cause the engine poor perfomance.
1. Check:
• Ignition timing
• Magneto control lever operation
Incorrect
Checking steps:
(1) Turn the magneto control lever 1 until
it contacts the crankcase surface
(2) Check the magneto control lever 2 so
that it contacts the full retard stopper

2. Adjust:
• Throttle link
Adjusting steps:
(1) Disconnect the link joint 4 from the
magneto control levers 1 and 2.
(2) Turn the magneto control lever 1 until
it contacts the crankcase surface
(3) Set the magneto control lever 2 to
fully retard, it contacts the full retard
stopper 3.
(4) Adjust the length
untill the holes align with the pins on
magneto control levers 1 and 2.
(5) Install the link joint 4.
