CONTROL SYSTEM
Dial gauge:
YU-03097/90890-01252

(3) Slowly turn the flywheel magnet clock-
wise and stop it when the piston is at
TDC.
(4) Set the dial gauge to "zero".
(5) Turn the flywheel magnet clockwise
until the dial gauge indicates the
proper specification.
NOTE:
Turn the flywheel magnet clockwise to locate
BTDC.
(6) Align the timing plate 6 with the
specified mark on the flywheel
magnet.
(7) Secure the timing plate 6.
3. Adjust:
• Ignition timing (full advance)
Flywheel magnet position:
BTDC 19°±1°
Adjusting steps:
(1) Turn the flywheel magnet to clockwise
and align the timing plate 6 and
specified mark on the flywheel
magnet.
(2) Set the magneto control lever 2 to the
full advance position, it contacts the
full advance stopper 4.
(3) Adjust the stopper screw 7 so that the
mark on the flywheel magnet aligns
a
with the mark
assembly.
4. Adjust:
• Ignition timing (full retard)
Flywheel magnet position:
ATDC 2°±1°
Adjusting steps:
(1) Turn the flywheel magnet to clockwise
and align the timing plate 6 and
specified mark on the flywheel
magnet.
