System Configuration Setup
Setup
USER PASSWORD - Sets the user password. The user
password is the lower-level password of the two passwords
normally used on the system. The user password allows the
system to be booted, but does not allow access to the BIOS
setup program. The supervisor password must be used to
enter the BIOS setup program.
HINT: On some systems, either the supervisor or user
passwords will allow access to the BIOS setup program. In
this case the existence of two passwords could be to allow a
single password to be set up for an administrator, which will
work for multiple machines, while the user password is
individual for each machine.
IDE HDD AUTO DETECTION - Automatically detects
HDDs connected to the IDE BUS.
SAVE and EXIT SETUP - Saves the settings to CMOS-RAM
and exits Setup.
EXIT WITHOUT SAVING - Abandons all changes and exits
Setup.
