Hardware Diagnostic Program
Floppy Disk Test
TECHNICAL NOTE: Before running the floppy disk test,
insert a formatted diskette. The contents of the diskette will
be erased.
To execute the Floppy Disk test, select 4 from the DIAGNOSTIC
TEST MENU, press
the screen. The floppy disk test contains two subtests.
Select the test drive number, media type and the track of the floppy
disk drive to be tested and press
Select the number of the desired subtest and press
Option: 01.Sequential address read
This subtest reads data from all tracks continuously on a diskette.
Option: 02.Random address data W/R/C
This subtest writes random data to random addresses on all tracks
on the diskette. The data is then read and compared to the original
data.
Printer Test
To execute the Printer Test, select 5 from the DIAGNOSTIC
TEST MENU, press
The Printer Test contains one subtest that tests the output of the
printer. Answer each of the questions that appear on the screen in
order to run the test.
TECHNICAL NOTE: An IBM-compatible printer must be
connected to the system to execute this test.
