The HOST shows the HOST ID, and the onboard host adapter is
recognized as host 0. The CHANNEL shows the channel number
of the host. Since the onboard host adapter has just one channel
SCSI bus, only 0 is displayed.
The ID 00 through 15 indicate the result code from those devices
connected to the SCSI bus. No data will be displayed on any
invalid host adapter.
CD-ROM Test
To execute the CD-ROM test, select 10 from the DIAGNOSTICS
TEST MENU, press
The CD-ROM test contains two subtests that check the computer's
CD-ROM functions.
TECHNICAL NOTE: Insert a test disc. You may use the
M500D CD-ROM.
Option: 01. Sequential address read
This subtest is a sequential reading of one block unit (2K bytes) of
all the logical addresses.
Option: 02. Random address read
This subtest reads data at random addresses.
IDE HDD test
TECHNICAL NOTE: If SCSI hard disk drives are connected to
the server, this menu is not available and is grayed out.
