Ifyou select "In" here, the FR-3x's sound source can
no longer be plaved via its kevboards. The display
therefore shows "---" instead of aset number or reg-
ister numbers.

Treble TX/RX channel
This parameter allows you to define t h e .
MIDI channel for the Treble (accordion)
section. The assignment set here applies
both to the transmission ("TX") and reception ("RX") of
MIDI data.

MIDI data are only transmitted when "Mld" (see above)
is set to "Out", while the "RX" part is onlV used when
"M ld" is set to "In".

receive nor transmit MIDI data.
[NOTE]
Though it is perfec tl y possible to assign the same MIDI chan-
nei to severai sec ti ons, the result is usually disappointing and
may lead to a lot of confusion.
Trebl e Octave T

This parameter allows vo u to transpose •
the Note-on messages transmitted by
the treble section up to three octaves up
or down.
Default setting: O
This can be used for songs where an accordion register
of the Tre ble section (for example) should be doubled bV
a piccolo flute plaved by an externalmodule whose
notes wo uld be far too low if thev were used as is. As
stated above, each MIDI note has a unique number. This
parameter allows yo u to add (or subtract) 12 (''1''
octavel, 24 ("2" octaves) or 36 ("3" octaves) to (from)
the note numbers generated by your playing.
Bass/Free B ass TX/RX Ch ann el
This parameter allows vou to define the

Free Bass (accordion) part, depending on
which mode is currently active.
