Treble section
The Treble section con be played
using the 31-key "piano" keyboard
or the
92
treble buttons.
The sound it produces is deter-
mined by the register
[l}~[OJ
you
pressed last. This section can be
used to play accordion, orchestral
and organ sounds.
Seleeting sounds for the right hand
This section expla ins how to select accordi on , orchestral
an d organ so unds for the t reble sec tion (right hand). On
p. 27, vou wi li learn how to combine accordi on notes
with an orchestral or organ sound.
Sounds are selected using treble registers
[ 1]~[O] .
To
select an orchestral or organ so und, VO U first need to
press [O RGAN!ORC HESTRAl, and then a treble regis ter.
1.
Switch on the FR-3x.
See "Switching the power on and off" on p. 21 .

If VOll wish to select a treble accorclion reg-
ister, skip to step 5.
(NOTE]
After switching on the FR-3 x. the treble registers select
accordion sounds.

Press the [ORGAN/ORCHESTRA] register
once if VOll wish to select an orehestrai
sOLlncl, or twice to select an organ sOLlncl.
(If vou press [ORGAN!ORCHESTRA] a third time, the
treble reg isters once again allow vou to select accor-
dion sounds.)
The number of the last sound VOU selected for that
group (orchestra or organ) is indicated bV the right-
most digit in the displav.

In so me cases, the dis plav shows a dot to the ri ght of
the treble registe r num ber. Here is what tha t means:
Dot status E xplanation
Dark You are LIsi ng an accord ion sound.
Li t You are using an orehestra i sound.
Flashes You are using an organ sound .

PI av a few notes to check whether VOll have
selected the correct sound familv (accor-
dion, orehestrai or organ).
Do not forget to move the be ll ows in order to hear
the notes VOU are plaving.
If VOU did no t select the correct so und fa mi lv, return
to step 3.

Press one of the 10 treble registers
([1]~[O])
to select the clesirecl sOLInd.
The rightmost digit in the displav changes and indi-
ca tes the number of the so und vou have just
selected .

need to change the voluille or balance setting. and "Adjust-
ing the chorus and reverb effects" on p. 22 for the effects
se ttings.
Additional information about the accordion
section
The FR -3x allows VO U to select amon g 14 accordion
so unds (even tho ugh there are onlV 10 treble registers).
Four treble registers are assigned to two different
sounds. These are shown in black in the ill ustration
below. The little sq uare in the re ed config uration also
alerts VO U to the fac t that the registers in qu estion (2, 5,
6 and 9) allow vo u to selec t two so unds:

[5]. [61 and [9] allow you to select two different accor·
dion sounds.
Pressing register [2], [51, [6] or [9] once selects the "A"
sound. Pressing it again selects the "b" so und. For these
regis ters. the displav brieflv shows bo th the register
number and an "A" or a "b".
