About this manual
You
should first
read the
chapter "Before you start playing"
(p. 15)
of
the
owner's
manual. It
explains how
to
connect
the
AC adaptor or
install
batteries and
turn
on
the
power.
This
Owner's
Manual explains everything, from
the
FR
-
3x's
basic operations
to more
advanced functions.
Conventions
in this
manual
In order to explain the operations as
clearl
y
as possible, this manual
uses the
following conventions:
• Text
enclosed in
square
brackets
[]
indicates the
name of a button or knob. Example
:
the lUSER PROGRAM]
button.
• Lines that begin
with
"[NOTE]
"
are
cautionary
statements
that
you
must
read.
The numbers of pages
that
you can turn
to
for additional, related information are
given
like
this: (p. **).
The
explanations in
this manual
include illustrations
that depict
what should
typically
be shown by
the display. Note,
however,
that
your
unit may incorporate
a newer, enhanced
version
of
the
system
(e.g.,
includes newer soundsl, so
wha
t
you actually see
in the
display may not always match
what
appears
in
the manual.
Before
using this instrument,
carefully read
"Using
the
unit
safely" (p.
7)
and
"Important
notes" (p. 9). Those sections
provide information concerning
the
proper operation of the
FR-3x.
Addi
tional ly,
in order
to
feel assured that
you
have gained
a
good
grasp of eve ry feature provided by
yo
ur
new
unit,
the
manual
should be read in
its
entirety. The
manual should be saved and
kep
t
on hand as a convenient reference.
