Chapter 9: Troubleshooting LCD Messages
Explanation
The internal temperature sensor
has detected a dangerously high
temperature that can damage the
system components inside the
chassis.
These messages indicate that the
CompactFlash card drive
subassembly failed.
If the chassis has a second power
supply, one of the power supplies
failed and the chassis is running
on the second power supply.
The chassis SIO or ISA bridge
chip failed its timer interrupt test.
The system cannot operate
properly without this function.
The chassis watchdog reset
hardware, used to reset the chassis
from a system hang condition, is
not functioning properly.

1. Power down the chassis.
2. Reduce the ambient
temperature to 40° C or
lower.
3. Make sure that you have
proper air circulation
through the chassis.
If the temperature inside
the chassis is not
excessively hot, the sensor
itself might have failed.
