Slide the CompactFlash card reader subassembly into the drive bay.

Plug the power cable into the chassis backplane power connector.

Plug the CompactFlash card reader data cable into the chassis
backplane 40-pin data connector. The 30-pin data connector is used
for diskette drives, which are not used on chassis with a
CompactFlash card reader.
Note
Ensure that the excess slack of the CompactFlash card reader data
and power cables is folded neatly and does not obstruct the
installation of chassis fans 5-6 in the next step.

Using the handle on the chassis fans 5-6 subassembly, slide the
chassis fan subassembly straight into the open slot on the chassis.

Tighten and then torque the chassis fan thumbscrews 8 to 10 in.-lbs.

Tighten the two thumbscrews to secure the CompactFlash card
reader subassembly to the chassis.

Slide the CompactFlash card (the CompactFlash card and adapter
unit) into the slot on the front of the CompactFlash card reader.

Reinstall the front bezel by aligning the pins on the bezel with the
holes on the front panel of the chassis, and then pushing the bezel
straight onto the front panel.

Reconnect and turn on the power to the chassis.

Verify that the chassis fans are operating.

Interrupt the boot process by pressing the Delete key during the
memory test.

Enter the following command at the ok> prompt, and then run the
CompactFlash card diagnostics:
sys-diag
