13.14.4 Setting weighing mode

In the ADJUSTING THE INTERNAL SCALES menu you can change the weighing
mode to NORMAL and use the ultimail simply as scales. For this purpose, differential
weighing has to be switched off (refer to page 57).
Possible settings and their meaning:
SET UP
SYSTEM SETTINGS
INTEGRATED SCALES
LOCK
(default setting)
NORMAL
• Go to the SET UP menu using the
key.
• Select SYSTEM SETTINGS
INTEGRATED SCALES.
• Press the key next to WEIGHING
MODE. The setting switches between
LOCK and NORMAL.
The NORMAL weighing mode is not
available for postage calculation.
When quitting the menu, the ultimail
automatically sets the weighing mode
back to LOCK.
If you add further mail pieces to the
delivery on the weighing tray and take
them off again, the scales will not deter-
mine any new weight. The original dis-
play remains unchanged.
The ultimail will continuously determine
the loaded weight and display the
momentary value.
