Connecting an IBM EXP400 expansion unit to a DS400 storage
subsystem
After you install the storage subsystem, you can connect up to two IBM EXP400
expansion units to a DS400 storage subsystem. You can do this at any time after
you install the storage subsystem, even while it is turned on and processing data.
When two EXP400 expansion units are connected to the DS400 storage
subsystem, the storage subsystem controls up to 40 hard disk drives.
