Connecting secondary interface cables for storage management

Use the Ethernet management connector on the back of the storage subsystem to
connect the controller for management of the storage subsystem. Connect one end
of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet connector for controller A (on the left) on the
back of the storage subsystem. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to an
Ethernet switch or directly into the management station. Figure 14 shows the
location of the Ethernet management connector on your storage subsystem model.

iSCSI cabling

The DS300 storage subsystem supports standard Category 5, 5e, and 6 Ethernet
cables. Insert an Ethernet cable into either of the RJ-45 connectors (labeled "Eth2"
or "Eth3") on the rear of the RAID controller. Connect the other end of the Ethernet
cable to an Ethernet network or switch. This connection provides access to the
controller.
